How to Claim Native English Proficiency:

  • Applicants who completed both primary and secondary education in one of the following countries can claim native English proficiency:
  • • Australia
  • • Canada (English-speaking provinces)
  • • Ireland
  • • Kenya
  • • New Zealand
  • • United Kingdom
  • • United States
  • • Zimbabwe
  •  

Applicants must provide transcripts from their primary and secondary schools they attended along with the rest of their application materials.

Like other students admitted to our programs, native English speakers will take a placement test upon arrival in Seattle, then register for classes according to their results. Native English speakers will take the same test given to U.S. residents and citizens enrolling at North Seattle College.
